It was another successful year at the Soccer City Sports Center. From leagues to tournaments and everything in between, 2011 was another enjoyable for our local soccer community. As 2012 commences, we are proud to announce new upcoming programs and events that will have you playing until it's time to get outdoors again.
As the Session 2 leagues begin this weekend, the Soccer City Training Center has already begun it's second session. With over 110 kids that participated in the first session, we are excited at the possibilities that this new six-week course has on the horizon. For those of you unfamiliar with the Soccer City Training Center, it is a six-week training program for children of all abilities. Players will be taught individual technical skills in 1 v 1 attacking and defending, group attacking and defending, passing, receiving, movement off the ball, and much more. As part of the Training Center, players will be placed on teams to compete in Soccer City’s youth leagues. There is an option for players to choose just "training only" for a reduced fee.
In addition to the consistent Training Center, Soccer City is now proud to announce its brand new Striker School. With an emphasis on the art of goal scoring, Striker School teaches players the requisite techniques to strike balls cleanly and score goals of a wide variety. This class is one of Soccer City's offerings for the advanced and experienced player.
Kid’s Club at Soccer City is a six-week soccer specific program for ages 3 to 5. All participants will be introduced to fundamental skills such as proper soccer-related movements and individual skills. Our curriculum is designed to ensure that children learn through a variety of games and activities that encourage development, cooperation, and FUN! As a treat for the children, our classes finish with the opportunity to play on our “Dino Slide!”
